David Ball

David has been an agent for over 10 years following working as an actor and later a producer. In 2008 David was the recipient of the Stage One/SOLT Apprentice Bursary and gained a coveted internship working at both Sonia Friedman Productions and Act Productions Ltd. In 2010, David was the recipient of the Stage One/SOLT Bursary for New Producers and following this was made Associate Producer of Act Productions Ltd. For David Ball Productions, productions include: The Turn of the Screw (Almeida Theatre), Tommy – in Concert (Prince Edward Theatre), The Sound of Music (Jordan, Beirut, Cairo), On The Piste (Jack Studio Theatre, The Importance of Being Earnest (Jack Studio Theatre), Misterman (New Wimbledon Theatre / Jack Studio Theatre, Stepping Out (Jack Studio Theatre), The Clockmaker’s Daughter – Studio Album (Auburn Jam Records), The Clockmaker’s Daughter – in Concert (Cadogan Hall), Stepping Out (Union Theatre), West End Gold (Stag Theatre, Sevenoaks), West End & Broadway (UK tour), Miranda Sings Live in Leicester Square (Leicester Sq Theatre). Award nominations – The Importance of Being Earnest (2 x off West End award nominations for best actor and best actor in a supporting role), The Clockmaker’s Daughter – in Concert (West End Wilma Award nomination for Best Solo / Cabaret Performance).

Pippa Gebbett

After a successful career as a performer, Pippa went on to assist David at Irving Street Management and has been an agent at DBM for the last 3 years. Pippa originally trained at Elmhurst Ballet School, and subsequently Arts Educational on the 3 Year Musical Theatre Course; and The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, 1 Year Post Graduate MA Course in Acting for Screen. Theatre: Starlight Express (West End), Cats (Hamburg), Grease (Scandinavian Arena Tour), Fame (UK Tour), Peggy Sue Got Married (West End), The Rat Pack Live from Las Vegas (West End), Tommy in Concert (West End), Blaze – The Musical (London). Film: Ink Heart and The Other Boleyn Girl.

Yes. We only represent actors who have an active Spotlight page.
Yes, all clients sign a contract with DBM Talent which outlines expectations and commission. However, there is no termination period, meaning either side can end the agreement at any time if the need arises. Our contract is fully PMA-compliant, ensuring transparency and industry-standard terms.
Our commission is 15% across the board for all work our clients undertake.
We strongly advise all of our clients to have a showreel or vocal reel on their Spotlight page. It is one of the most effective ways for casting directors to immediately see your skills and range.
Not necessarily. If you can afford to invest in a professionally produced reel, that’s fantastic, as there are some brilliant companies offering excellent services. However, you can also create a high-quality reel using a smartphone. We always advise paying attention to the technical aspects, such as sound and lighting, to ensure the final product showcases you at your best.
